It would appear to be that in this every increasing hectic world we live in the hardest job is one most children learn to master before school age.
I am talking about lacing a shoe!
If you think things at work are tough take a minute to consider a young guy I recently saw who couldn’t even tie his shoelaces.
This is not a joke I am in no way exaggerating or on any particular enhancer (other than from the crisps I just ate) when I write this.
Let me explain. I love a good game of footy and at a recent sporting event I continued to see not one but many of todays youth with missing laces. I drew the apparent conclusion that ‘these days’ it was trendy to find short cuts because we are too busy to even lace our shoes, at least both of them. There was one guy who had one shoe laced and the other with no laces.
When I say no laces I mean shoes that are meant to have laces but with no actual laces attached. Is this really a trend of just a short cut so we can be lazy?
If we are really too busy to complete a basic task like tying a shoe then what hope do we have of doing the small things well that will lead to big achievements?
I’d love to know what shorts cuts have you been taking?
