It’s a serious question because today we live in a materialist world where people don’t think twice about blowing a weeks wage on a night out yet rarely if ever spend the same amount of money on a life investment such as their education.
If you spent the same amount of money on books, training and education as you did on coffee, eating out or expensive clothes then how much healthier and richer would your mind be?
What I can tell you is, the best life long investment a person can make is on improving their intellect. That doesn’t have to mean a university degree or years at TAFE. It can be the occasional book purchase, short course, causal workshop, certificate or diploma course.
The key here is to think about an interest you have, maybe a hobby or even a topic directly related to your career that you’d like to know more about. Spend little time researching it and then invest in educating yourself about it.
The more you learn the more you are stimulating your brain creating new neurology. What this means is your brain creates more connections and stays active.
Who knew educating yourself was so healthy.
Variety is after all the spice of life and also one of the main core needs that keeps us humans alive. If you were then going to spice up your life a little what area would you like to learn more about?
